Sonic Weeps for his Country

This is my tribute for the recent disaster in Japan.

Seeing as Sonic is Japanese, I wanted to draw a picture of both him looking down on the aftermath of the Tsunami/Quake, and also do a tribute for the disaster as I was very shocked and moved by it and feel extreme sorrow for the Japanese, of all countries, they do not deserve it.

I am also sickened by the media hype around it all, undermining the Japanese authorities and government, saying that they are not giving the correct information out and aren't keeping things under control. It is causing a mass panic for the Japanese citizens, getting contrasting views from abroad and their own country, with the people abroad saying people should be worried and the Nuclear plants are going to meltdown etc and radiation levels in Toyko are dangerous, when infact it really isnt, a recent reading in Tokyo it was actually LOWER radiation levels than normal.

Yes, it IS dangerous to be near the reactor, but otherwise it is not a worry. People should be focusing on the hundreds of thousands of people in the north who are no homeless and have no heating/food and most have lost their loved ones.

The background picture is obviously not done by me, I found a photo of the aftermath on the internet and pasted it into the background, so whoever took it credit goes to them.

I hope Japan rebuild themselves and stay strong. Please, if you can, donate to Japan via the red cross appeal, even a small amount may go a long way.
